The Weekend is spent at the pool learning basic scuba skills. Combined with eLearning this program completes the first half of certification.

Saturday begins at the pool with instruction on setting up scuba gear. The facility is nice with hot showers and changing rooms.
Sunday starts directly at the pool unless divers need to exchange gear or get fresh cylinders. Grads earn Referrals used to finish certs abroad or with us at Monterey. Instructor’s advice: “Get a good fitting mask and real diving fins .

Certain answers provided on the medical may require candidates to seek medical clearance from their primary care. Divers cannot participate in pool or ocean dives without a waiver if needed.
