Advanced Program

Saturday will begin in Monterey with buoyancy work and Underwater Navigation from the beaches of Monterey. After a break divers will reconvene for the night dive (optional). Sunday morning completes the course with Deep and (one other specialty dive) from the Metridium fields area of Monterey. Some experience beach diving cold water is recommended to participate.

When:
Saturday and Sunday Jan 14-15
Sat 7:00am – 7:30pm PPB, Navigation and Night
Sun 7:00am – 1:00pm Deep and TBD

Where:
The beach dives are conducted very close to Cannery Row.  Directions to the secret meeting sites will be handed out once liability paperwork is signed at Scuba Fusion in San Mateo.

Cost:
Price includes the new PADI digital certification card and instruction.  Academics are not included. Divers need to select an academic option during checkout in the form of a book or the PADI eLearning Advanced program. Diving gear is not included in the price.

Needed:
In addition to the standard gear you will need a dive knife/tool, a compass and a dive computer (or timing device and eRDPml/RDP Table). Dive lights are only required for divers that wish to participate in the night dive. Scuba Fusion rents all of the diving gear needed except personal gear which is a mask, snorkel, boots, fins and gloves. However, it is strongly recommended that divers have their own diving gear at this point.

12 and up with certifications

Also, these dives are a great opportunity to break in new gear.  You will dive in varying conditions to see what works and what does not.  A Scuba Fusion instructor/divemaster will be with you every step of the way to guide you with new equipment.
