PADI Certification Program
In order to get certified you must complete 3 components:
1. Academics
2. Pool Training
3. Four Certifying Ocean Dives.
We combine your academic option with our pool schedule so you can complete pool and academics in at the same time – usually weekends.
Upon completion students can choose to do the four ocean dives with us in Monterey (another weekend course) Or, many choose to complete the four certifying ocean dives while on vacation at places like Hawaii or Belize where the waters are warm – this is called a Referral Diver and is the most popular option.
There are two academic options to select from while signing up with our school:
In-Class Academics
eLearning at home
With PADI eLearning you complete the academics on your laptop or smart phone. You are excused from class sessions. The In-Class option is less expensive but requires class attendance. Both include homework -sorry! eLearning Vs. In-Class
Students bring their own Personal Gear to these programs. It is very important to test out and work out the bugs in a pool before going to the ocean. Personal Gear includes a mask, snorkel, fins, boots and gloves. The store provides the rest of the gear needed such as tanks and suits. Personal Gear
There is some prep work to be done before class begins. Come to the store for Orientation at least a week before class starts. You will pick up homework, fit gear, sign medical and liability – these must be done in person. No appointment is necessary drop in anytime we are open.
