Congratulations:
Welcome to the boat trip and glad you are joining us! Just wanted to make sure you have the information needed for this dive charter. The Charter boat we will be diving has a very experienced crew and is standing ready to assist us with our dives. Staff at Scuba Fusion will also email this information to you in the form of a welcome message and may also give you a call just to see if you are all set.
Bring your Certification Card and all dive gear needed to K-Dock at the time of your chosen charter. Please be aware that this and all Monterey charters do not supply any dive gear to us. Each of us must have 2 full tanks, weights and all other gear needed to use while diving from the boat. This means that you will need to have already picked up tanks, weights and other needed gear at Scuba Fusion and brought them with you.
Boarding time is 8am Boat departs harbor at 8:30am sharp!
I suggest arriving a little early at the parking lot to sort out your gear. Many of us will don our wetsuits in the parking lot before boarding. If you are not going to do this then a dive bag is a must – please buy or borrow one.
The boat will have some nice snacks, coffee tea and water for us. However, I would suggest bringing something to eat.

Monterey Harbor “K” Dock

DIRECTIONS
SOUTHBOUND HIGHWAY ONE (1)…Take the “Monterey” Del Monte exit. Stay on Del Monte and continue toward the downtown section of Monterey.
Enroute you will pass the Aquarius Dive Shop (on left), then Naval Postgraduate School (on left). Approximately 1/2 – 3/4 mile you will pass a large recreational lake (left side), then a McDonalds restaurant, also on the left. Continue to the large sign which identifies Fisherman’s Wharf (Figueroa) and make a right.
You will be driving towards wharf #2. Before actually going onto the wharf make a left into the parking lot area (L, M, N, O & P lots). You will see a large 2-story building with the London Bridge Pub on the bottom level to the left of the wharf. Pull along the waterfront near the steps that lead down to the walking path (about 100′ to the left of the Pub). After moving your gear to the large concrete area overlooking the water…you can then park your vehicle and return to the “K” dock loading area
Seasickness pills are highly recommended for the boat dives. The diving can be fantastic – but the ride can be rough. Certification cards must be brought with you on this trip. If you have any additional questions please feel free to reply or call us here at the store.
Also, these dives are a great opportunity to break in new gear. You will dive in varying conditions to see what works and what does not. A Scuba Fusion instructor/divemaster will be with you every step of the way to guide and aid you with new toys.
