About Learning to Dive in San Mateo:
Scuba diving locations in the San Francisco San Mateo Bay Area are everywhere. Monterey has been rated as the 3rd best diving destination in the U.S. It is a short 90 minute drive from San Mateo and provides ideal conditions for divers new to the sport. Visibility, how far a diver can see underwater on a horizontal plane, ranges anywhere from 15' to 75'. The area offers much to do and see for the non-divers as well.
