We at Scuba Fusion Dive Center look forward to helping you get trained as a Safety Signer Diver. Scuba Fusion Dive Center is the first dive center certified as a SeaSigns® Dive Center! This means that our Instructors and dive staff are all Safety Signers, and will be communicating effectively underwater with each other! In just three hours, followed by an hour or so in the pool, you too can be certified in this exciting technique, allowing you to easily "talk" with your dive buddy or dive staff while underwater! The class is designed to make it as easy as possible to effectively learn the various signals associated with diving. Like the PADI System, the diver first starts the educational process by watching a video at home, practicing many of the signals before the class. In the classroom, we go over the various signs, then learn how to put them together to make sentences. At the end of the first night, there's a final exam that covers the individual signs learned. The next evening, the Instructor and students will work together in the pool (9' down) on signing full sentences. Upon completion, you're a Safety Signer! You'll receive a special BCD tag that signifies that you've accomplished this. And because of the educational process, being a Safety Signer means that you'll also receive the PADI Safety Signer Distinctive Specialty - this counts towards your Master Scuba Diver rating! Training Fees
The PADI Safety Signer Distinctive Specialty total training fee for a group class is
$75.00. The fees are broken down in order to provide many training options
to our customers. The fees are broken down as follows:

$ 25.00 - Store Registration Fee (nonrefundable, nontransferable)
$ 50.00 - Instructors Fee/Certification Fee

When you sign up for the class, the Store Registration Fee will be
collected. The Instructor will collect the Instructor Fee/Certification Fee (cash/check only)
during the first night of class. Class size is limited, so early registration is recommended!

Course Prerequisites
In order register in the Safety Signer course, you must first already be a PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent), and you must be at least 12 years old.

Class Schedule
The Safety Signer Class is a two evening class consisting of one class session and one pool session. The class room refines your signing skills. The pool session is full communication underwater!

What you will need to buy
For the first night, you will need the Safety Signer Student Kit (DVD or Video). Before your
pool dives, you will need your own personal snorkeling gear (which includes masks,
snorkel, fins). You will also need a dive slate. The video must be watched before the first night of class.

What you may rent
You may rent the rest of your scuba diving equipment from Scuba Fusion Dive Center.
This includes your wetsuit, hood, regulator, weight belt, buoyancy control device (BCD),
and tanks.

Medical Concerns or Questions: If you are currently under the care of a Medical Doctor, or have a preexisting condition that requires permission from a Physician, you will need to have a Medical Release before any in-water activities. PADI Medical Release Form.
