The Open Water Scuba Certification
In order to scuba dive you must first get certified. Certification is broken into three simple parts:

1. Classroom Academics (Online Option)
2. Pool Training
3. Four Ocean Dives.

Class and pool is held in San Mateo the first weekend while the four ocean dives are held in Monterey the second. Many students choose to finish their ocean dives while on vacation. This is called the Referral Program.

First Weekend
We start Friday night with classroom lecture and equipment assembly. Saturday and Sunday has us in the huge 176 thousand gallon heated 86 degree swimming pool complete with hot showers, deepwater well and 25 yard lanes.

What else do I need to buy:
Personal snorkeling gear is also needed and not included with this course. Students need to buy their own mask, snorkel boots and fins for this program.
