What is the Divering Emergency Management Provider (DEMP) program?
Often, when a diver is injured, there are several things happening: a diver could be stung by a jellyfish and have an allergic reaction; a diver may panic underwater, experience an air embolism and have a heart attack; or a diver may suffer a puncture wound from wreck debris. The DAN Diving Emergency Management Provider (DEMP) program is designed to prepare divers to handle most complicated dive-related emergencies that arise, prior to handling the injured diver over to professional care. This program incorporates the key skills from four programs:

Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries (or equivalent)
Advanced Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries (or equivalent)
First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries (or equivalent)
AEDs for Scuba Diving (or equivalent)

Training Fees
The DEMP course total training fee for a group class is $125.00. The fees are broken down in order to provide many training options to our customers. The fees are broken down as follows:

$ 35.00 - Store Registration Fee (nonrefundable, nontransferable)
$ 90.00 - Instructors Fee/Certification Fee (cash/check only)

When you sign up for the class, the Store Registration Fee will be collected. The Instructor will collect the Instructor Fee/Certification Fee (cash/check only) during the first night of class. Class size is limited, so early registration is recommended!
