We at
Scuba Fusion Dive Center look forward to helping you get trained
as a PADI Assistant Instructor. In training to become an
Assistant Instructor, you will concentrate on developing
your Knowledge Development (Classroom), Confined Water (Pool),
and Open Water (Ocean) presentations to Instructor demonstration
quality. As a PADI Assistant Instructor you will be able
to independently conduct many PADI programs, or choose to
go on to an Instructor Development Course (IDC). If you

Training
Fees
The
PADI Assistant Instructor total training fees is $425.00,
and is broken down as follows:

- Instructors Fee/Certification Fee
When
you sign up for a class the Registration Fee will be collected.
The Instructor will collect the Instructor Fee/Certification
Fee (cash/check only) during the first night of class.
Course
Prerequisites
In order to become a PADI Assistant Instructor you must
first already be a PADI Divemaster (or equivalent). You
must be 18 years old and be certified in CPR and First Aid.
You must also have certified for at least six months prior
to starting the class.
Class
Schedule
The
PADI Assistant Instructor course is conducted over a three
week period, consisting of four weeknights, one weekend
(class/pool) and one open water dive.
What
you will need to buy
You will need the PADI Instructor Manual, Instructor Candidate
Workbook, Confined Water cue cards, Open Water cue cards,
the Confined Water Presentation slate, and the Open Water
Presentation Slate. Your Instructor will inform you of any
other books and other materials you may need. You will need
your own personal snorkeling gear (which includes masks,
snorkel, fins, boots, gloves, hood, PADI dive table or wheel,
whistle, and a timing device).
What
you may rent
You may rent the rest of your scuba diving equipment from
Scuba Fusion Dive Center. This includes your wetsuit, regulator
(with non-integrated alternate, weight belt, buoyancy control
device (BCD), and tanks.

Medical
Concerns or Questions: If you are currently under
the care of a Medical Doctor, or have a preexisting condition
that requires permission from a Physician, you will need
to have a Medical Release before any in-water activities.
