The course consists of 1 academic session held at the store and 1 day of diving at Lake Tahoe. Divers will receive credit toward their advanced certification for wreck, boat diving and altitude diving. They will also receive a certification card for altitude.
Sep 30th (at the store) Thursday night class 6:30pm - 8:30pm*
Oct 2nd Saturday: 9:00am - 2:00pm Tahoe dives
Diving will begin at majestic Callaway Cove. It is located within the D.L. Bliss state park and is on the west shore of Lake Tahoe. Divers will be toured on a customized dive boat inflatable to dive the majestic Rubicon Point Wall. The day will finish with the famous Emerald bay wrecks.
The first dive will be instructor led and allows divers the option of diving in a fairly shallow bay or taking the complete tour out along the breath taking Rubicon Point Wall. It is a boat dive designed to keep things simple, safe and comfortable.
The second dive takes divers to the sunken barges at beautiful Emerald Bay. After a scenic 20 minute boat ride along the west shore of the lake divers simply drop over the side and descend a buoyed line to some of Tahoe's preserved history. The wreck site is the first underwater state park in the United States.
Visibility is expected to be in the 60's with a swell the height of your dive boot. It does not get better than this!
